Using PowerBI to simplify your SQL Server Migration  (Neil Hambly)

Performing a SQL Server migration when you have more than just a few instances can quickly become a challenge to understand the wide variety of Physical and Virtual instances, Windows OS & SQL Server Version, Editions, Database Sizes, Compatibility levels and a hundred other items in addition to the range of hardware resources that seem to be the norm for an environment these days.
Using the Microsoft MAP Toolkit with which to gather some key information is the first step, but when faced with tens -hundreds of instances and hundreds - thousands of databases even for a medium sized estate – Just where should we begin?

Neil Hambly is the practice lead for a UK Microsoft Data Platform Partner and regularly undertakes such migrations with his clients, using demos of a few PowerBI reports he has built we can visualize and interrogate the collected MAP data to understand what challenges may lay ahead, and yes a copy of the reports to use on your own environments will be available.
We will also learn during the session how to build and manipulate PowerBI reports to meet your own Data Visulations needs.
